Recording Equipment

Once a project has been agreed between the Memory Bank and an individual or community group, recording equipment is loaned to the project from the Memory Bank’s store. The following equipment was used in the period January 1999 to March 2001:

Storage

All material contributed to the Memory Bank is stored digitally in two environments ? in the web environment and in archive quality removable digital storage such as compact disk. In addition to this there are paper copies of all transcripts and texts. At the point of writing, moving images are held on VHS and High8 but this is only temporary and under discussion.
